45th International Scientific and Technical Youth Conference of PJSC «Zaporizhstal»

Students, graduate students and young scientists of the department of electric drive and automation of industrial installations of ZNTU have traditionally for many years annually participated in the International Scientific and Technical Conference of Youth of PJSC «Zaporizhstal». This year’s conference was no exception.

On October 18-19, 2018, the 45th jubilee conference dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant took place. The conference was opened by Acting general director of PJSC Zaporizhstal Andriy Zhuk and head of the youth organization of PJSC Zaporizhstal Serhii Ilchenko.

This year, the conference gathered 245 young specialists in Zaporizhzhia – employees of Ukrainian enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex, specialists of research institutes, institutions of higher education, colleagues from Belarus, who presented their scientific reports and ideas. In memory of the conference, each participant received beautiful souvenirs with the symbols of the jubilee conference.

The conclusion of the conference, the presentation of certificates and valuable gifts for the best reports to the employees and guests of the plant took place in a festive and extremely friendly atmosphere. It was announced that thanks to the associate professor of the EPA Department of ZNTU, Nazarova Olena Serhiyivna, for her inexhaustible intellectual energy, an active lifestyle aimed at the development of the scientific and technical potential of the mining and metallurgical industry of Ukraine, devotion to traditions, and on the occasion of the 45th Jubilee International Scientific and Technical Conference of Youth, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the «Zaporizhstal» combine.

As Andriy Zhuk noted, the conference gives young people the opportunity to grow professionally and take steps forward in career development.
