3,000 students took part in the second stage of the Aviator 2017 project
On February 7, the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation held the second stage of the educational project «Aviator 2017» among students of technical specialties.
As part of the project, 3,000 contestants from 32 universities and colleges of Ukraine wrote English language tests. The organizers are confident that the students coped with the tasks of the expert council and scored the maximum number of points to pass to the third stage.
The contestants noted that they consider this stage one of the most important in the project. «Young aviators are obliged to know English perfectly, which is the international language of the world aviation industry. In particular, they must know standard phrases and expressions that pilots and controllers use every day in their work; to solve the freelance situations that arise without a language barrier. We will have a chance to test your level of technical English during our stay at Le Bourget Aviation Forum in Paris. The most talented and creative boys and girls will go there, and I hope to be among them,» the student of the National Aerospace University named after shared her plans for the future. N. Contestants have three more stages ahead of them: a test of general knowledge of the theory and history of aviation, an improvisation task from an expert jury, and the defense of their own project.
Let us remind you that this year 6,500 students from 44 higher educational institutions and colleges of Ukraine took part in the Aviator, and the competition became the most popular educational project in Ukraine.
The president of the charity foundation, Boris Kolesnikov, is proud of the achievements of the young aviators and notes that the project is in demand and relevant. «Every year, the number of contestants increases many times. More boys and girls participated in »Aviator 2017« than in the previous five years combined. I thank the students and their teachers for their attention to the competition, their desire to achieve high results with their abilities and honestly win a ticket to Paris,» says Boris Kolesnikov.
The names of one hundred winners of «Aviator 2017» will be announced in April, and already in June, the country’s best students will go to the capital of France, to the Le Bourget International Air Show.
