On May 23, 2018, an open lecture for students on anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine was held at the Faculty of Law of ZNTU. The speakers were the head of the Department of Constitutional, Administrative and Labor Law, Doctor of Law, Professor R.M. Maksakova, Deputy Head of the Department of the Main Territorial Administration of Justice in the Zaporizhzhia Region N.V. Kravchenko and the leading specialist of the rectorate’s department, the authorized person for the prevention and detection of corruption at ZNTU V.F. Devochkin.
During the lecture, those present were familiarized with the application of certain provisions of the Law of Ukraine «On Prevention of Corruption» in higher educational institutions, normative legal acts on the prevention of corruption. A very wide range of issues are considered within the framework of these provisions, in particular, what is a conflict of interest, how does financial control work, what are the specially authorized entities in the field of anti-corruption, responsibility for corruption or corruption-related violations, etc. Special emphasis was placed on methods of reporting corruption facts at the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University and issues of whistleblower protection. After the lectures, the students had the opportunity to ask questions on topics that interested them.
This lecture became a regular part of the implementation of the «Plan of measures to prevent and combat corruption at the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University for 2018» and the project of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine «I have the right»
