1100 participants of «Aviator 2017» crossed the equator of the competition
On March 1, the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation held the third stage of the Aviator 2017 educational project. 1,100 contestants from 32 technical universities and colleges wrote tests on the theory and history of aviation – the profile subjects of future specialists in the field.
According to the results of this stage, 500 students will remain in the project. As the organizers of «Aviator» note, the level of preparation of the participants is high, many of them are the owners of various grants, authors of scientific works, have their own developments, so it is necessary to raise the passing score and keep the best of the best in the project.
The most worthy will be among the hundred winners of «Aviator 2017», which will visit the Le Bourget International Air Show in France in June. A rich program awaits Ukrainian students there: meetings with representatives of world aviation giants, a review of the achievements of the aerospace industry, communication with peers from other countries. During their stay at the forum, foreign specialists will share their experience with young aviators, which they will then apply to the development of aviation in Ukraine.
«Every year, the Charitable Foundation gives the winners of the Aviator project trips to the best aviation salons in the world to France and Great Britain. Boys and girls no longer feel constrained, as it was in the first years of visiting forums. During meetings with specialists, they demonstrate brilliant knowledge and erudition, proving in every way that Ukrainian universities provide a strong theoretical base and develop practical skills. I am proud that the winners of »Aviator« are representatives of the young Ukrainian aviation elite, who will glorify our country in the future and make maximum efforts to develop its infrastructure,» says Boris Kolesnikov, President of the Charitable Foundation.
Participants of the competition have two more rounds ahead – the improvisation stage and the defense of their own project, which will take place in mid-March and early April, respectively.
«The equator of the competition is already behind, ahead – difficult and at the same time interesting tasks. Participants are becoming fewer and fewer, tasks are becoming more difficult, which allows you to demonstrate all your knowledge and skills. I hope to reach the finals and win the coveted trip to Paris. There, we will get to know one of the most beautiful European capitals, visit Le Bourget, where it is very difficult for an ordinary Ukrainian student to get to, and thanks to the Foundation we will be able to touch the great world of aviation,» said Tetyana Garmash, a student of the National Aviation University.
We remind you that the «Aviator» project is the only educational competition for students of technical specialties of a similar scale in Ukraine. This year, 6,500 students from 44 higher educational institutions and colleges of the country registered to participate in it. «Aviator 2017» will last six months, and its winners will be the 100 best students who successfully overcome five stages of the project and surprise the members of the jury – representatives of various areas of the aviation industry.
