The founding meeting of the public association "Zaporizhzhia Cluster of Information Technologies and Innovations" was held in Zaporizhzhia

The founding meeting of the newly established public association “Zaporizhzhia Cluster of Information Technologies and Innovations” (Public Association “Zaporizhzhia ITI Cluster”, ZCITI) was held in Zaporizhzhia, which aims to unite the efforts of business, education, science and government to develop the region’s innovation ecosystem.

During the meeting, the mission of the association was defined – to promote the development of information technologies and innovations in the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine and the world by consolidating the resources of enterprises, organizations, educational and scientific institutions, public associations and the expert community. Special attention will be paid to supporting the professional development of specialists, digital transformation of the region and increasing its competitiveness.

The vision of the union envisages creating conditions under which the Zaporizhia region will become a powerful center for the development of IT and innovation, capable of integrating into global technological processes and ensuring sustainable socio-economic development.

The participants of the meeting unanimously supported the initiative to create the union, which was presented by the President of the Scientific and Technical Park LLC of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University and the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta.

During the meeting, the official name, purpose and The charter of the union as the main founding document, which determines the principles of its activities and management.

Special attention was paid to the formation of governing bodies. Viktor Greshta was elected Chairman of the Board. The Board includes the vice president of the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, associate professor of the Department of Management and Administration Andriy Kuts, director of the Zaporizhzhia Cluster “Engineering-Automation-Mechanical Engineering”, professor of the Department of Economics and Customs Andriy Karpenko, representative of LLC “Gray Matter Software” Yevgeny Kasyanenko and representative of the Scientific and Production Enterprise “Impulse” Igor Otrokha.

The creation of the Public Union “Zaporizhzhya Cluster of Information Technologies and Innovations” opens up new opportunities for the development of the IT industry, support for startups, implementation of joint projects, formation of a modern innovation ecosystem of the region and promotion of self-realization of youth in their native Zaporizhzhia regions.
