Movement for the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace

On April 6, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University woke up together!

From the very morning, students and staff gathered for a charged morning exercise. Smiles, energy, music, movement, drive and unity are the classic set of our exercises!

Also taking part in the exercise and congratulating the participants were the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta; head of the Zaporizhia Regional Branch of the NOC of Ukraine Natalia Vlasova; Olympic champion, world champion, Honored Master of Sports in artistic gymnastics Olga Strazheva; Olympic bronze medalist, Honored Master of Sports in handball Oksana Raikhel and Olympic bronze medalist, European champion, Honored Master of Sports in athletics Olesya Povkh.

In addition to students and teachers of the Polytechnic, coaches and athletes from the Zaporizhia Regional Children’s and Youth Sports School of the Zaporizhia Regional Council joined the movement.

Sport is health, discipline and true strength of spirit! And for Zaporizhia Polytechnic University – an inseparable part of the life of students and employees!

The movement was organized with the support of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Management, the Student Trade Union and the Student Government of the University.
