The Polytechnic has acquired a new professional grade 3D scanner thanks to Cardiff University

The Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University was able to purchase a professional-class 3D scanner RaptorX thanks to funding from Cardiff University.

The scanner is used in research for scientific works in the field of mechanical engineering at the Department of Metal Cutting Machine Tools. Together with the existing Carveco and Tebis software, working with a modern device provides students with the opportunity to gain laboratory and practical knowledge and skills in creating 3D models from prototypes.

The latest equipment will give a new impetus to the educational process, and will also allow us to expand the list of innovative services provided by our Technocenter on a commercial basis.
