“Heat packages” for internally displaced persons

The regular employees of the student campus under the leadership of the director Vadym Dubina continue to work in an intensified mode and help the affected people.

So, on February 21, the distribution of “warmth packages” from the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration was organized in the dormitory No. 4.

The bags contained things that are necessary during cold weather and power outages: blankets, thermoses, flashlights and power banks.

Preparation of lists of recipients, collection of displaced persons, organization of unloading and the actual distribution of aid were successfully carried out by the employees of the dormitory No. 4: by the head of the dormitory Valeriy Ignashov, his deputy Svitalana Voronina and the castellan Lyudmila Andriychenko.

The assistance was received by about 200 people living in the temporary residence of internally displaced persons in dormitory No. 4 of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University.

As noted by Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko, who visited the dormitory on the day of the aid distribution, such support is extremely important in conditions of martial law and regular power outages. The University will continue to contribute to ensuring proper living conditions for internally displaced persons and will interact with state authorities and social partners to provide comprehensive assistance to those in need.
