About the department
The department "Machine parts and lifting and transport mechanisms" of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University trains specialists in the field of mechanical engineering, in particular in the areas of design, calculation and operation of mechanical units and lifting and transport equipment. The department combines classical engineering traditions with modern technologies, ensuring high-quality training of students in accordance with the requirements of modern industry.
The department's mission is to train highly qualified, competitive engineers capable of solving complex technical tasks, developing innovative solutions for the machine-building industry, and working effectively in the conditions of Industry 4.0. The department contributes to the development of science, technology and engineering education, training specialists who make a significant contribution to technical progress and sustainable development of the industry of Ukraine.

Practical and laboratory work on the calculation of machine parts and assemblies is carried out in the Educational Laboratory.
The training laboratory is equipped with a working passenger elevator, a beam crane and working models of lifting cranes.
It is equipped with a working belt conveyor, working models of vibrating and belt conveyors, and mock-ups, on the basis of which students perform laboratory work.
It is equipped with an electric hoist with a load capacity of 3.2 tons, an operating crane-stacker Q=160 kg, there are stands with brakes, drive mechanisms, for performing laboratory work.
It is equipped with the necessary equipment and means for conducting non-destructive control of the state of PTM metal structures, conducting expert examinations.
The computer class is equipped with computers with automated design systems (CAD), which enable students to perform drawings, 3D modeling, design documentation.
The laboratory is equipped with various types of 3D printing equipment (FDM; SLA;), 3D modeling and 3D printing software. The laboratory is actively used for teaching students and holding groups.
Equipped with stands, testing equipment for laboratory and research work.
