Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Expands Engineering Simulation Capabilities through Partnership with the Ansys Academic Program!

Initiated by the Department of Aircraft Engine Technology, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has successfully secured a partnership with the Ansys Academic Program. This milestone marks a significant step in elevating the level of scientific research and the quality of engineering education at the university.

The world-class Ansys® software opens up fundamentally new prospects in the field of advanced manufacturing research. With expanded access to a comprehensive suite of engineering analysis tools, the university’s scientists have gained powerful computational capabilities for in-depth numerical simulation of complex material processing. Specifically, the use of Ansys simulation solutions will enable researchers to investigate solid-state deposition and severe plastic deformation processes at a qualitatively new level.

Furthermore, the implementation of these modern digital tools into the academic and research workflow significantly expands the capabilities for aerospace engineering and design. This includes precise modeling of gas-dynamic processes, performing high-fidelity structural analysis, and conducting comprehensive modal analysis of structural components. The integration of these software suites will also foster interdisciplinary research, such as systemic analysis and the application of neural networks for the technical state assessment of complex engineering systems.

The partnership with Ansys ensures that our researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates have access to the same cutting-edge technologies utilized by leading innovative companies worldwide, strengthening the university’s position as a hub of modern engineering science. The implementation of the licensed software products was coordinated by Ph.D., Associate Professor Yaroslav Dvirnyk.
