There will be no spring conscription of this year’s school graduates
Defense Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin announced that 2012 school graduates will not be called up for military service this spring
«Completing education in educational institutions a month earlier, in May 2012, will not result in the conscription of graduates for military service and will not limit their right to higher education,» – Defense Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin announced on March 1.
«I urge young people and their parents not to worry and calmly prepare for the entrance campaign to higher educational institutions. The Ministry of Defense will ensure that every 2012 graduate has the right to continue their education,» – emphasized Dmytro Salamatin.
The head of the defense department also announced that the head of the General Headquarters – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Volodymyr Zamana, brought the relevant information to the attention of the Land Forces Command, operational commands and military commissariats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by a special telegram.
