Announcement of military training
To the attention of citizens of Ukraine, students and graduates of higher educational institutions, colleges and technical schools of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kherson regions
From July 20, 2020, the competitive selection of citizens of Ukraine continues, who have or are obtaining a higher education degree not lower than a bachelor’s degree (II-VI year) in full-time (daytime, evening) and part-time (distance) forms of study, male and female, who voluntarily expressed a desire to undergo military training under the reserve officer program at the Department of Military Training of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.
Candidates for admission to study may be citizens of Ukraine, are fit for military service due to health, if they are under 45 years old at the beginning of military training.
List of documents that must be submitted for competitive selection:
- Application.
- Copies of the certificate of registration with the draft board or military card (except for women).
- Copy of pages 1, 2, 11 of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
- Copy of the registration number of the taxpayer’s registration card (identification code).
In addition, each person is personally provided with a certificate from the military medical commission of the district military commissariat.
A certificate of passing the military medical commission is received by the candidate from numbers:
males – in the district military commissariat where the student is registered for military service;
females – in the district military commissariats where the candidate lives.
Competitive selection consists of:
- Level of academic success in higher education (submitted by the dean’s office).
- Physical fitness assessment test
- A test to assess the level of mastery of the pre-conscription training program for men (school course "Defense of the Fatherland") or medical and sanitary training for women (school course "Fundamentals of Medical Knowledge") and professional psychological selection, which is conducted in the form of a written test and consists of questions on pre-conscription (medical and sanitary) training and questions on psychological selection.
The cost of military training in 2019-2020 academic year was 5,500 UAH. for one semester of study.
During study at the department, a citizen is granted a deferment from service in the Armed Forces for the entire period of study.
After completing study at the Department of Military Training, graduates receive the military rank of "junior lieutenant of the reserve", which gives the opportunity to be employed in military units and subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Penitentiary Service, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies.
