Recruitment for the advanced training program «Accessibility Specialist»

The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University has opened a recruitment for the advanced training program «Accessibility Specialist»!

The program is aimed at training specialists who will be able to professionally assess the accessibility of buildings, public spaces, residential facilities and transport infrastructure, identify existing barriers and offer solutions to create a convenient, safe and accessible environment for all.

Barrier-free today is one of the key areas of development of modern communities, educational institutions, public spaces, residential, transport and social infrastructure. Training specialists with knowledge in the field of accessibility, universal design and smart adaptation is becoming particularly relevant.

Upon successful completion of the training, students receive a certificate of competency «Accessibility Specialist».

Persons with an educational degree not lower than a bachelor’s degree in the following specialties are invited to participate in the program:
– G17 «Architecture and Urban Planning»
– G19 «Construction and Civil Engineering»

During the training, program participants will gain practical knowledge and skills in:
– monitoring and assessing the degree of accessibility of physical facilities environment
– application of state building code requirements in the field of accessibility
– inspection of public buildings, housing stock, transport and social infrastructure facilities
– identification of existing barriers and preparation of recommendations for their elimination
– use of universal design and reasonable accommodation principles
– preparation of reports on the results of accessibility assessments

– application for study
– copy of identity document
– copy of higher education document of bachelor’s level or higher
– copy of document on change of surname – if available
If necessary, the university may request additional documents in accordance with the internal procedure for organizing studies.
