International webinar on remote laboratories

On March 6, the International Webinar on Remote Laboratories was held on the basis of the Department of Software Tools. Professor Gustavo R. Alves, PhD, from the Politecnico do Porto, Portugal (ISEP, Politecnico do Porto, Portugal) and Professor Manuel Eduardo Macías García, PhD, from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, México), as well as 36 representatives of various divisions of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, took part in the event.

Foreign partners familiarized the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic community with the possibilities of free use of the network of available remote laboratories in physics, electronics, electrical engineering, automation and robotics, energy, chemistry, biology. Such capacities will allow to significantly expand the possibilities of distance learning organization using real high-cost equipment of leading partner universities in distance mode.

Head of the Department of Software Serhiy Subbotin and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Technologies Serhiy Leoshchenko made short reports where they talked about the experience of introducing remote laboratories.

International cooperation, interests and needs of the Polytechnic were presented by Nataliia Furmanova, dean of the Faculty of Information Security and Electronic Communications, Mykhailo Brykov, professor of the Department of Integrated Welding Technologies and Construction Modeling, Iryna Zelenyova, associate professor of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks, and Alina Kazurova, head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation.
