Erasmus Days at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University: international cooperation, new opportunities and project ideas
On October 15, the Erasmus Days event was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, dedicated to the practical experience of the university’s participation in the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. The event brought together over 200 participants in a mixed format – representatives of the university community, participants in international projects, educators and partners. The main goal of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for international cooperation, academic mobility, the development of project activities and the exchange of experience in implementing initiatives with the support of the European Union.
The participants were welcomed by the rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta, the manager of the Jean Monnet department of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine Petro Kraynik, and the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international activities of the university Valeriy Naumyk.
The event program began with a presentation of the main directions of Erasmus+ and their importance for the development of the university. Head of the Project Activities Department Mariia Pavlenko presented the main directions of Erasmus+ and their opportunities for the development of the university, and Head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Alina Kazurova presented the academic mobility component KA1.
The University’s Project Activities Department presented the Project Portfolio of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, a resource that systematizes information about the university’s international initiatives and the results of their implementation. Participants were also offered practical materials for developing project ideas, establishing international cooperation, and preparing applications for competitive programs.
During the practical part, the participants were divided into teams by area.
Under the guidance of the event speakers — Ruslan Kulikovsky, Oleksiy Kuzkin, Vasyl Mazin, Mariia Pavlenko, Darya Khmara, and Olha Yabchenko — the teams identified current problems, formulated goals and expected results, and activities of a potential project. Each group presented its own project idea, outlining its strengths, potential risks, and next steps. Thus, the participants received a basis for further development of initiatives and preparation of future international applications.
We sincerely thank the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine for supporting Erasmus Days, as well as our partners for supporting the event and gifts!
