The State Accreditation Commission continues to revoke licenses of higher education institutions

The main reason is the identified violations of the licensing conditions for the provision of educational services in the field of higher education

The press service of the State Inspectorate of Educational Institutions reported that, based on the inspection materials, the State Accreditation Commission revoked all licenses for the implementation of educational activities of the private higher education institution «West Donbass Institute of Economics and Management», the college of the specified private institute and the Skadovsk branch of the Crimean faculty of the East Ukrainian National University named after Dalya.

The State Inspectorate reported that the main reason for the cancellation of licenses is the violation of the conditions for the provision of educational services in the field of higher education, in particular, the low level of staffing, insufficient material and technical base, the low level of student training, educational and methodological and information support, and violations in the organization of the educational process.

In addition, the State Inspectorate revoked licenses for certain specialties of CJSC «Lviv Institute of Management» and a number of economic specialties for the training of specialists of the «Kyiv Slavic University».

Also, the management of the Kyiv Slavic University was instructed to remove its students from educational premises and dormitories that are unsuitable for study and residence, and within three months to eliminate the identified shortcomings and violations in the provision of educational services.

All students of higher educational institutions whose licenses have been canceled will be transferred to other universities.

It should be noted that last year the State Attestation Commission made a decision to cancel the licenses of the Kyiv Institute of Social and Cultural Relations named after St. Princess Olha and the Ukrainian Financial and Economic Institute.

The Head of the State Inspectorate of Educational Institutions Mykhailo Honcharenko, commenting on their closure, noted: «These universities had a low level of staffing, insufficient educational and methodological base, problems with the lecture load on teachers, as well as a low level of student success, which was revealed after writing ministerial control papers.»
