Meeting of the Academic Council of the university

On May 27, a meeting of the Academic Council of the University was held at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
— election of Valery Ivanov to the vacant position of Head of the Department of Machines and Foundry Technology through a competition
— changes in the structure of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University
— activities of student self-government bodies
— state and prospects for the development of the Faculty of Law
— sports and mass work at the university
— main results of the examination session in the 1st semester of the 2024-2025 academic year
— results of certification of graduates of one and a half year master’s degree programs
— formation of one-time specialized academic councils for consideration and defense dissertations.
— recommendation for the publication of scientific and educational publications
— approval of changes to the educational and professional programs “International Economic and Customs Activity” of the bachelor’s and master’s levels of higher education in the specialty C1 “Economics and International Economic Relations (by specialization)” of the field of knowledge C “Social Sciences, Journalism, Information and International Relations”
— approval of changes to the educational and professional programs “Personnel Management” of the master’s level of higher education in the specialty D3 “Management” of the field of knowledge D “Business, Administration and Law”

During the event, certificates of academic title of Associate Professor were awarded to Anton Fasolyak and Hanna Lapteva, and a diploma of Candidate of Sciences was awarded to Roman Frolov.

A special moment was the awarding of the University with the Grand Prix “Higher Education of Ukraine” and three gold medals in thematic nominations as part of its participation in the exhibition “Modern Educational Institutions”.

In the nomination “Formation of the Innovative Potential of Students by Robotics”, the certificate of the author of the competition work “Stimulating the Innovative Activity of Students through the Implementation of Robotics” was received by Natalia Furmanova, Iryna Pospeyeva and Viktor Greshta.

In the nomination “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Innovative Opportunities and Challenges for Teachers and Students”, the certificate of the author of the competition work “Using Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools during the Educational Process” was received by Serhiy Subbotin, Andriy Oliynyk and Serhiy Leoshchenko.

In the nomination “Educational and Practical Center as an Innovative Center for Improving Professional Training of Education Seekers”, the certificate of the author of the competitive work “The Place and Role of Qualification Centers in Regional Development” was received by Ruslan Kulikovsky and Dmytro Perveev.

Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University also received the honorary title “Leader of Higher Education in Ukraine” and the Grand Prix in the thematic nomination “Use of IT Solutions for an Effective Educational Environment” within the framework of participation in the International Exhibition “Education and Career – 2025”. The author’s certificate was received by Serhiy Subbotin, Andriy Oliynyk and Serhiy Leoshchenko for the research work “Generative Artificial Intelligence Tools for Gamification of the Learning Process in Higher Education”

The university rector Viktor Greshta was awarded a certificate of honor for fruitful work, high professionalism and significant contribution to ensuring the sustainable development of the educational institution.

The certificate of honor for significant fruitful organizational and creative activity was awarded to Tetyana Solovyova.

Separate thanks from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for conscientious attitude to professional duties and participation in scientific and technical expertise were received by Serhiy Turpak and Andriy Oliynyk.

Nina Pavlishyna, Yulia Sokolova, Natalia Fatiusa and Oleksandr Zorya were recognized for their many years of dedicated work, significant contribution to the training of specialists and active scientific activity.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration presented Olga Teryokhina and Oksana Porada with certificates of gratitude, and the Zaporizhzhia City Council Department of Education and Science presented Serhiy Leoshchenko with certificates of gratitude.

The winners of the All-Ukrainian Diploma Thesis Competition were awarded: Iryna Chernova and Alla Tkachenko.

The university’s achievements in sports were also not left out of the spotlight. Diana Moroz received the certificate of Master of Sports of Ukraine in sports aerobics, and the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class was awarded to Alina Holub, Marina Kutseva, Veronika Sidorova and Artem Kokarev.
