Meeting of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Zaporizhia Region

On March 28, a meeting of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Zaporizhia Region of the Public Organization “Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine” was held at the National University “Zaporizhia Polytechnic”.

A number of important issues related to changes in legislation and the formation of consolidated proposals for their inclusion in draft laws were considered, as well as issues of organizing the admission campaign, in particular:

• The procedure for admission to higher education in 2025;
• Introduction of basic military training in higher education institutions;
• Amendments to legislation related to the modernization of the network of higher and pre-higher vocational education institutions; reform of vocational education; Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Financing Higher Education and Providing State Targeted Support to Applicants.

Today, it is necessary to make joint efforts to strengthen the higher education system as the basis for training qualified specialists who will contribute to the further development of society and the country’s economy, and the joint work of the Council of Rectors is an important component for defending the interests of frontline regions in ensuring quality education despite today’s challenges.
