Zaporizhia Polytechnic invites you to the course

The Psychological Service of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University invites everyone to attend the free course “Introduction to EMDR”. The course is held within the framework of the open psychological lecture hall of Zaporizhia Polytechnic.

The lecturer will be Svitlana Borodai – child and family psychologist, trauma therapist, EMDR therapist and supervisor, trauma therapy teacher.

At the lecture “EMDR and the neuroscience of trauma: how bilateral stimulation works in trauma processing” we will reveal the scientific principles of the EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) method: the mechanisms of the influence of bilateral stimulation on the brain and its role in the process of processing traumatic experiences. Participants will gain a deep understanding of why EMDR is one of the most effective approaches in trauma therapy.

The practical session “Effectiveness of the ISP Protocol in Stabilizing a Person in Acute Stress and PTSD” will take a detailed look at the ISP (Immediate Stabilization Protocol): how to use it to quickly stabilize clients in acute stress, as well as to work with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Participants will learn specific techniques for immediate use in practice.

Practical practice of the G-TEP protocol on the topic “EMDR-Protocol of Group Traumatic Episode (G-TEP)”, which is designed to work with groups of people who have experienced a common traumatic episode. During intensive practice, participants will learn to effectively apply the principles of EMDR in a group format.
