Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University is among 10 Ukrainian universities that will train specialists in accessibility

The Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University has become one of 10 Ukrainian universities that will train specialists in accessibility. This is an important recognition of the university’s professional potential, its ability to implement relevant educational areas and participate in the formation of a modern system of training specialists in demand by the state and society.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine has approved advanced training programs for specialists in accessibility, developed by 10 Ukrainian higher education institutions. Among them is the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. Memorandums of cooperation have also been signed with higher education institutions.

Training specialists in accessibility is of particular importance for Ukraine today. In the context of community restoration, modernization of public infrastructure, and increasing attention to the needs of veterans, people with disabilities, the elderly, and other low-mobility population groups, the issue of environmental accessibility is gaining strategic importance.

The training will include theoretical and practical training. After completing the course, students will receive a certificate of competence in the field of physical accessibility.

Participation in this initiative opens up new opportunities for Zaporizhia Polytechnic University to develop educational programs, strengthen the practical component of training and train specialists who will be able to professionally implement the principles of accessibility in various areas of public life.
