Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic on World Science Day 2025: Ukraine
On November 12, World Science Day 2025: Ukraine was held in Kyiv – a strategic meeting of the community shaping the future of Ukrainian science. The event brought together leaders of state policy, representatives of scientific institutions, universities, business and international partners, the Council of Young Scientists to summarize key reforms, award young scientists and identify common priorities for investments in science and innovation, and create conditions for scaling up the developments of young scientists.
NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” was presented by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Vadym Shalomeyev, Head of the Department of Student Scientific Work Snezhana Vychuzhanina and Director of the Educational Center “Education for Business and Career”, Head of the Council of Young Scientists at the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Member of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Anastasia Zerkal.
The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Science and Technology Center in in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation, World Bank, UNIT.City, Diia.City.Union.
During the grand opening, the participants were welcomed by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Oleksandr Tsybort.
Representatives of the Polytechnic took an active part in the strategic sessions “Policy Design: What Does Business Need from Science?”, “Partnership of Science, Business and the State in the Field of R&D”, in the round table “Science.City and Business Orders — New Models scientific-business cooperation”, at the VI International Forum of Young Scientists’ Councils “Science without Borders” with panels “Financial Support for the Development of Science and Education” and “Creating Prospects for the Development of Young Scientists”.
