Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is a basic institution and the winner of the Southern Region of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad

On November 8–9, the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad took place on the Algotester platform, which is 1/4 of the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) World Programming Championship.

The Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University served as the base HEI for coordinating the II stage of the Olympiad in the Southern region (Zaporizhzhya, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kirovohrad regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea), and the coordinator of the Southern region was Serhiy Subbotin, head of the Department of Software.

The teams of students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic who became the winners of the I stage joined the participation:
– NUZP_Junishki as part of the students of the group KST–514 Yevhen Shiyan, Ivan Hunko, Dmytra Shabli (coach — senior lecturer of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks Olga Polska)
– NUZP_ME.WE.PAVLO as part of the students of BC–615m Yehor Ponomaryov, Pavlo Reznychenko, Oleg Savchenko (coach — associate professor of the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Tools Natalia Mironova)
– NUZP_AltF4 as part of the students of the group KST–114sp Valeria Neroznak, Yevheniya Kornienko, Oleksiy Sych (coach — senior lecturer of the Department of Software Tools Larisa Deynega)
– NUZP_println(“Win!”) as part of the students of KST–513sp Ihor Dolynnyi, KST–522 Vitaliy Trokhymchuk, KST–514sp Dmytra Yakovlev (coach — Olga Polska)
– NUZP_Loliki consisting of students of group BK-822 Darya Zaika, Elizaveta Makarenko, Sofia Krasnikova (coach – associate professor of the Department of Information Security and Nanoelectronics Hanna Nelasa)

After a long and painstaking solution of the tasks by teams from the entire southern region, we have two prize places at once!

The absolute champions among 5 regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea were the team NUZP_ME.WE.PAVLO — Yegor Ponomarev, Pavlo Reznichenko, Oleg Savchenko with coach Natalia Mironova — 1st place!

The team also won NUZP_println(“Win!”) — Igor Dolinny, Vitaliy Trokhymchuk, Dmytro Yakovlev with coach Olga Polska — 3rd place!
