Events for the International Day of Museums from the Zaporizhia Polytechnic
On May 18, the Museum of the History of Technical Progress of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University held a series of events “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities”, dedicated to the International Museum Day. The event included: excursions and master classes.
A special event was the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the university – “From the Alexander Mechanical and Technical School to the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University”. The exhibition was opened by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Andriy Ivanchenko, and the opening speech was delivered by the museum director Natalia Derkach.
Within the framework of the photo exhibition, a lecture was also given by the associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training, Volodymyr Chop. Later, employees of the Museum of the History of Technical Progress attended thematic events dedicated to the Day of Museums, to which they were invited by the Zaporizhzhia Museum of History and Local Lore named after Novytsky.
