Event "Celebration of Unity: the Strength of Dniprorudny, the Hope of Zaporizhia"
On December 3, the solemn event “Unity Celebration: the Power of Dniprodzerzhynsk, the Hope of Zaporizhzhia” was held at the Educational Hub of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”, organized by the Dniprodzerzhynsk City Military Administration. The event became significant for the entire community, which, despite the challenges of war and the temporary occupation of its native city, continues to demonstrate unity, indomitability and faith in the future.
The participants of the holiday were congratulated by the head of the Dniprodzerzhynsk City Military Administration Anton Kozyrev, who also awarded the winners of the competitions and community activists. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Head of the Vasylivka District State Administration Yana Volyk, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration Olena Kazannikova, Deputy Director of the DON ZODA Andriy Mymryk, as well as representatives of the district administration, juvenile police, public activists and athletes of the ZpGroup futsal club.
Pro-rector Andriy Ivanchenko congratulated the participants of the event on behalf of Zaporizhia Polytechnic. He expressed sincere admiration for the resilience and strength of spirit of the community residents.
After the ceremonial part, the guests joined in the opening of a new educational space – a safe, modern and fully equipped educational space in the main building of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic, where children from the Dniprorudnenskaya community will now be able to study. This is another important step towards restoring the educational environment for those who were forced to leave their hometown due to the war.
The creation of this space was made possible thanks to strong international, regional and local support. The initiator of the project was the Dniprodzerzhynsk City Military Administration. Within the framework of international cooperation, the non-profit organization “Krayany” (Japan), the association “Friends’ Circle of Ukraine Bad Oldesloe” (Germany), and the charitable foundation “UA FRI” joined the implementation. An extremely important partner was the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, which provided the premises and comprehensively supported the initiative.
As part of the event for children and youth of the community, a bright festive program was held for all age groups: the youngest joyfully welcomed St. Nicholas, students in grades 5–8 competed in fun sports relays, and high school students took part in the Marathon of Gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic is forever your reliable support and support. Together we can do anything!
