Visit of a People's Deputy to the Zaporizhia Polytechnic

On July 24, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Shtepa visited the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University to learn how the university is recovering after a series of Russian attacks.

During a meeting with the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Viktor Hreshta, they discussed the challenges faced by Ukrainians since the start of the full-scale invasion. In particular, they inspected the damage to the 3rd building of the university as a result of a direct drone hit on July 7: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AqzQbuP6H/

They discussed the importance of supporting educational institutions located in frontline areas. After all, frontline regions are acutely experiencing a shortage of personnel and a decrease in the level of access of young people to higher education. That is why the creation of special admission conditions for young people living in frontline areas and planning to build a professional career in their native region is important for the preservation and development of Ukraine’s economic and industrial potential.

Serhiy Shtepa also presented his own book “Fear and Courage. (Un)Fictional Stories”, which contains 15 stories that are close to every Ukrainian. One copy was given to the rector of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University, Viktor Gresht. Anyone who wants to can read the book in our library.
