Congratulations to the winners of the All-Ukrainian competition in translation studies!

On September 30, International Translator’s Day, a solemn ceremony was held to summarize the results of the All-Ukrainian student and pupil competition in translation studies on the topic “Localization and Translation: Tools for the Dialogue of Linguistic Cultures”, which was held at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation to the 125th anniversary of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”.

Our partners joined the competition: Zaporizhzhia Academic Lyceum No. 23, Zaporizhzhia Academic Lyceum No. 93, Municipal Institution “Zaporizhzhia Regional Academic Lyceum “Alta” of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Melitopol State Pedagogical University named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky, National University “Chernihiv Collegium” named after Taras Shevchenko, Kherson National Technical University.

The participants were welcomed by the head of the organizing committee, rector Viktor Greshta, acting dean of the Faculty of Humanities Tetyana Khitrova, acting Head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, Head of the Jury Natalia Zhukova and Head of the Department of Student Research Snezhana Vychuzhanina.

According to the jury’s decision, the winners among higher education applicants were:
1st place — Karolina Lymar (National University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic”), Kyra Kryzhanovska (Kherson National Technical University)
2nd place — Polina Dudkina, Valeria Litvynova (National University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic”)
3rd place — Oleksandra Bohdan, Anna Sologub (Kherson National Technical University)

Among secondary education applicants, the winners were:
1st place — Veronika Nadeina (Zaporizhzhya Academic Lyceum No. 93)
2nd place — Anastasia Marchenko (Zaporizhzhya Academic Lyceum No. 23)
3rd place — Emilia Volchkova (Zaporizhzhya Regional Academic Lyceum “Alta” of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council)
