Opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University


“From the Alexander Mechanical and Technical School to the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University” – this is the name of the exhibition that shows the 125-year journey of our university.
In 2025, a large number of events were held as part of this celebration: scientific conferences, interesting library and museum, cultural and artistic, sports events.
We are proud of our university. And despite the difficult wartime hours, we are doing everything possible and impossible. The exhibition was opened by Andriy Ivanchenko, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, socio-economic development and youth policy. The guests who are presented in the photographs at this exhibition were invited. This is S.B. Belikov, a graduate “machines” of the 80s, winner of many student competitions of scientific works. For more than 20 years he was the rector of our university, professor, doctor of technical sciences. M.O. Polyakov – a student in the 70s was the president of the tourist club “Romantik”. Today – professor of the department of “electrical and electronic devices”, professor, doctor of technical sciences. V. V. Gordiychenko – was a teacher of philosophy at the university, since 2014 – senior soldier of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Ataman Ivan Sirko. Today he is retired, doing his favorite thing – drawing. Gordiychenko participated in the All-Ukrainian mental health program initiated by Olena Zelenska “You are like”, taught drawing to students from Energodar.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by teachers, students, pupils of schools of Zaporizhzhia and the region.
