An open lecture on artificial intelligence for students and teachers

An open online lecture on the topic “Lawyer in the Digital Age: Education, Thinking and Artificial Intelligence” was held at the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”.

The event was held by Yuriy Gavrylov, Head of the Department of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Law of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”, Candidate of Law, OSINT trainer in financial investigations, expert in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

The lecture was dedicated to the current challenges associated with the integration of artificial intelligence into legal education and professional activities. During the speech, the speaker demonstrated his own developments – the author’s GPT bots JurLab, CyberIQ and a bot for monitoring places of detention, developed for the needs of education, law enforcement and public monitoring.

The audience got acquainted with the basic principles of AI, received advice on digital security and discussed the limits of using algorithmic solutions in legal practice. Particular attention was paid to the formation of students’ digital self-discipline and the importance of critical thinking when working with large language models.

The event became a platform for dialogue between students, teachers and practitioners. The discussion raised issues of legal ethics, academic integrity, and the transformation of legal education in the context of the introduction of intelligent technologies.

The event was organized as part of the speaker’s own initiative, “YGen” – a community of a new generation of students and teachers who are shaping a digital legal culture.
