From Zaporozhye to Great Britain — through dialogue and understanding

On April 8, a meeting was held at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University with our partners and friends – the founders of the British non-profit organization “Casus Pax” Holly Tann and Adam McQuire. They held a vivid and meaningful conversation with schoolchildren, teachers and postgraduate students of Zaporizhia.

The discussion was attended by students of Zaporizhia Academic Lyceum No. 31, Zaporizhia Academic Lyceum “Perspektiva”, students of Zaporizhia Humanitarian Vocational College, our postgraduate students and employees.

The main topics of the discussion:
— how media literacy helps to distinguish facts from manipulation
— why critical thinking is a survival skill
— how not to drown in a sea of ​​information sources
— education systems in Ukraine and the UK: common features and differences.

We are proud of our Zaporizhzhia schoolchildren who easily and freely conduct discussions in English, raise important topics and are open to new knowledge.

The meeting was held with the support of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation at the Educational Hub of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”.
