From Lviv to Europe: NCP "Research Infrastructures" opens new opportunities for scientists of the G. V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics
On March 2–3, Natalya Solidor, a leading specialist of the National Contact Point “Research Infrastructures” at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, paid a working visit to the H. V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv). As part of the visit, a two-day information event was held for scientists, researchers, and representatives of the academic community of the institute.
The main goal was to familiarize participants with current and future opportunities for participation in the EU program “Horizon Europe” in the area of “Research Infrastructures”. The event contributed to a deeper understanding of the program mechanisms, conditions for participation and practical steps for successful submission of applications for funding.
Over the two days, the following issues were discussed together:
– competitions in the direction of “Research Infrastructures”, the opening of which is scheduled for March 10: participants received comprehensive information on the requirements, conditions for participation, evaluation criteria and deadlines for submitting applications
– relevant competitions of the “Horizon Europe” program, which correspond to the scientific profile and research priorities of the G. V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics
– practical aspects of participation in the program: building international consortia, searching for partners, preparing and processing competition applications, registering on the Funding & Tenders
Individual consultations were organized for the scientific groups of the institute regarding their specific project ideas and compliance with the requirements of open competitions.
Conducting such information events directly in scientific institutions is one of the priority areas of the National Research Center “Research Infrastructures” at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. This format allows taking into account the specifics and scientific interests of a particular institution, providing targeted support and forming real readiness to participate in competitive international competitions.
The G. V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics is one of the leading research centers of Ukraine in the field of materials science, mechanics of materials and strength physics, which opens up wide opportunities for its integration into European research infrastructures and consortia within the framework of the Horizon Europe program.
The National Research Council “Research Infrastructures” invites scientific institutions and researchers to apply for free consulting support in preparing for participation in open competitions of the Horizon Europe program.
