From wheel to engine

On September 20, the first class of the “Carousel of Directions” group of the Children and Youth Scientific University on the topic “From the Wheel to the Engine” took place for students in grades 6–7 this academic year!

During their journey through the world of modern technology, students took part in various activities:
– demonstration of gasoline and diesel engines — how the “heart” of a car is arranged
– review of models of the power plant, transmission and chassis — what makes a car move
– analysis of various units, components and systems of a modern car — what is usually hidden under the hood — all this was carefully studied by young researchers
– acquaintance with a real “Tavria” car with right-hand drive — an interesting thing that you will rarely see on the roads of Ukraine

The students were accompanied by our experts – Associate Professor of the Department of Automobiles, Heat Engines and Hybrid Power Plants Vadym Kubich and Head of the Laboratory Anatoliy Avramenko.
