Webinar "Artificial Intelligence and Humanoid Robots: (When) will robots be soccer world champion?" in partnership with the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences
On May 20, a webinar was held on the topic of using artificial intelligence to play soccer with robots «Artificial Intelligence and Humanoid Robots: (When) will robots be soccer world champion?». It was organized by the Department of Software of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University and the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences.
The webinar was attended by about 100 people representing the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, educational institutions of Zaporizhia and Ukraine.
The speaker was Professor Klaus Dorer, who spoke about the problems and prospects of teaching robots to play soccer, and also highlighted the achievements of his team of researchers. The event was moderated by the Head of the Department of Software Serhiy Subbotin. During the event, the participants were interested in the details of the study and asked the speaker many questions.
The webinar was held within the framework of cooperation between Zaporizhia Polytechnic University and Offenburg University, which was launched in the spring of 2025.
