Training

The founders of the British non-profit organization “Casus Pax”, volunteers Adam McQuire and Holly Tann conducted the training “Emergency First Aid Skills”.

The training was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers from various faculties of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University and the Zaporizhia Humanitarian Vocational College.

The main goal of the training was to help participants acquire skills that save lives today. First, we took part in the discussion together:
– figured out how to act in extreme conditions in the first 30 minutes — this time is critically important for saving the lives of victims before the arrival of paramedics or the provision of qualified medical care
– recalled the types of bleeding
– studied the features of tourniquets, as well as the algorithm for first aid for airway obstruction

And then — a lot of practice: we learned how to apply tourniquets, bandages, and use hemostatics.

The minimum set for providing first aid should be with you: at least one high-quality tourniquet, hemostatics, bandage, gloves, and scissors. In Zaporizhia, as in a frontline city, it is vital to be ready to act and have the appropriate equipment.

Thank you all for your active participation! Your readiness can save someone’s life!
