Zaporizhia Polytechnic students are among the winners of the all-Ukrainian competition

The all-Ukrainian competition “Student Tech Challenge 2025” lasted for five weeks, in which students of technical specialties from all over Ukraine worked on innovative solutions in the fields of telecommunications, network technologies and digital energy. The event was organized by Huawei Ukraine, and the competition tasks were prepared by the company’s experts in accordance with the modern challenges of the industry.

This year, 4 teams from Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University participated in the nominations Radio Access Network Planning, Datacom Engineering, Transport Network Engineering and Digital Energy. According to the results of the competition, 3 teams reached the finals, and 2 of them won prizes, presenting their developments to the jury members. The award ceremony, which was attended by numerous world-class guests, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian government, was remotely joined by the rector of the university, Viktor Greshta, who congratulated all participants and wished the students further success and new scientific achievements.

The finalist in the “Digital Energy” nomination was the “AUTOMATIZATION GURU” team led by instructor Yevhen Potapenko. The team consisting of Maksym Tishin (Ez-714m), Artem Kunitsyn (E-314m), Anna Kiryunina (E-612), Timofey Poleshko (E-313) and Anatoly Chuyk (E-712) demonstrated a high level of technical training and took an honorable 2nd place in their nomination.

The finalist in the “Radio Access Network Planning” nomination was the team led by Harry Moroz consisting of Danylo Pleten (BK-913), Anastasia Krasko (BK-914), Vyacheslav Trokhymenko (BK-313sp), Oleksandra Nemykina (senior laboratory assistant) and Vladislav Nikulin (BK-512sp). The team received a special award “For an innovative approach to radio frequency planning”.
