A student of the Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic is among the silver medalists of the Cup of Nations in beach volleyball

On July 17–20, the final of the Nations Cup was held in Portugal, where the Ukrainian women’s beach volleyball team took part. The team consisted of two teams of two players each: Maryna Gladun and Tetyana Lazarenko; Valentina Davydova and Angelina Khmil.

Tetyana Lazarenko, an international-class Master of Sports of Ukraine in beach volleyball, as well as a master’s student at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, adequately represented Ukraine at the competition.

The Ukrainian women’s team took silver in the Nations Cup. The Ukrainian team performed undefeated in its group, where it beat the teams of Spain, Portugal and Estonia. From the first place in the group, the Ukrainian pairs immediately advanced to the semifinals, where they defeated the Dutch team. However, in the final, the Ukrainian team met difficult opponents, the German team, to whom they lost the gold medal.
