A student of the Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic is a European champion in beach volleyball
In the final match of the European Beach Volleyball Championship, Ukrainian athletes Marina Gladun and Tetyana Lazarenko took first place.
One of the champions, Tetyana Lazarenko, is an international-class Master of Sports of Ukraine in beach volleyball, as well as a student of the UFKS-124m group of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.
This medal is the first gold in beach volleyball at the European Championship in the history of Ukraine.
On the way to the final, Ukrainian volleyball players did not lose a single match out of 6. In the final, the first set against the French team was a loss, but the following two sets brought victory to Ukraine.
