Strategic partnership between the Zaporizhia Polytechnic and the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts

The international educational project EuroPIM Virtual Master School Ukraine (EU-ViMUk) was completed in June 2025. It was implemented with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD and the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund). The coordinator of the cooperation was the honorary professor of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, director of the IDiAL FH Dortmund Institute – Carsten Wolf. 

The project was aimed at forming digital communities of participants in German and Ukrainian higher education, as well as the development and digitalization of higher education institutions in Ukraine. 

The EuroPIM Virtual Master School Ukraine project was attended by teachers and students of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and the Western Ukrainian National University. 

Teachers of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic developed and integrated electronic educational materials for 20 master’s courses in Digital Education Ecosystem (DEE) of FH Dortmund and the distance learning system of NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” Moodle.

Thanks to the project, the basis for a double diploma program for master’s students studying in the specialty “Computer Science” has been formed.

The new DAAD project Project and Innovation Management for Ukraine (UA4PIM) will be aimed at expanding cooperation between FH Dortmund and NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” with an emphasis on new programs, which are aimed at digitalization and sustainable development.
