STEM project "Meteor station"
On April 8, the first practical lesson for students of grades 8–9 of Zaporizhzhia Gymnasium No. 106 took place on engineering components for the physical implementation of the STEM project “Weather Station”.
Under the guidance of Computer Science Teacher of Zaporizhzhia Gymnasium No. 106 Danyl Rengevych and Head of the “Robotics with Arduino” Club of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University Ihor Poleshko the schoolchildren began to get acquainted with the hardware part of the project and are already conducting physical experiments on real equipment.
The “Weather Station” project based on Arduino is an automated device for measuring weather parameters: temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure and illumination. It uses sensors connected to the Arduino board to collect data in real time. The obtained indicators can be displayed on the screen or transferred to a computer or the cloud for further analysis.
The children received initial skills in drawing circuits and independently developed the part of the project that is designed to display the measured data on the indicator.
