The rector of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University met with the medalist of the XXV Summer Deaflympics as part of the Ukrainian national basketball team!

On December 11, the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta met with our student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Management Kateryna Chernysh (UFKS–114).

Kateryna Chernysh is a medalist of the XXV Summer Deaflympics as part of the Ukrainian national basketball team. In the decisive match for bronze, the women’s team won a convincing victory over the Italian team with a score of 70ー57.

During the meeting, the rector thanked Kateryna for her contribution to the development of Ukrainian sports and noted that her achievements are an example for the entire student community. They also discussed the conditions for combining the educational process and a professional sports career, as well as the issue of further support for the Polytechnic athletes.

Once again, we congratulate Kateryna on her victories and wish her further success in her sports career!
