Presentation of the book "Borysov, budzagin, session, students" by Ivan Kiik

On October 24, employees of the Museum of the History of Technical Progress of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University organized a presentation of the book “Borisov, Construction Team, Session, Students” by Ivan Kiyko, a graduate of our university in the 80s. The presentation took place as part of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Polytechnic and was dedicated to the Day of the Motorist and Road Worker.

“Borisov, Construction Team, Session, Students” is the 5th book by Ivan Kiyko. Today, the author is the head of the design department of Dniprospetsstal OJSC. He has 2 patents for inventions, over 15 rationalization proposals, winner of the A. F. Tregubenko Prize.

Professor Andriy Ivanchenko welcomed the participants and the author of the book. University teachers and students joined the meeting. It was interesting for some to remember their student years, and for current students to hear about the life of the older generation.

Serhiy Belikov, who was the rector of our university for over 20 years and helped the author with material for the book, shared his memories.  The book was edited by Kateryna Bondarchuk, an associate professor at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training. She spoke about her impressions of history. The Dean of the Transport Faculty, Oleksiy Kuzkin, spoke about warm memories of studying at the Automotive Faculty of the Machine-Building Institute.

Mr. Ivan donated his book to the university library, museum, Transport Faculty, and the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Viktor Gresht.
