Presentation of books by Zaporizhzhia writers

On March 4, the Scientific Library of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” hosted a presentation of books by Zaporizhzhia writers dedicated to World Writer’s Day.

The event was solemnly opened by Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko. General coordination and moderation was carried out by the head of the Scientific Library sector, Natalia Fedko.

The creative part of the presentation was professionally moderated by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, Olga Stadnichenko. She presented a constellation of Zaporizhzhia authors, each of whom brought their own unique tonality to the event:
– the wisdom of Lyubov Genba and the indomitable “Spirit” by Valentyn Severynyuk
– the elegant “Handwriting” by Viktoria Syrovatko and the sunny rhythms of Karina Boyko
– a call to action from Natalia Ignatieva and the winter tenderness of Lorina Teslenko
– the stories of the reinforced concrete city in “Shadows of the Steel City” by Volodymyr Slobodyan

The guests of the event shared their thoughts on the creativity of their fellow countrymen: the dean of the Faculty of Humanities Tetyana Khitrova and the head of the educational laboratory of theoretical foundations of electrical engineering Oleksandr Pazyuk. They expressed sincere admiration for how the poetic word helps to maintain balance and preserve the human in a person even in the most difficult times.

The event was attended not only by scientists and students of the university, but also by teachers and students of the Dniprodzerzhynsk Specialized School “Talant”.

The writers donated their books to the fund of the Scientific Library of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. Each edition is a living document of our struggle and indomitability. We sincerely thank the masters of the word for the gifts! Now these books will become part of the university space, where every student will be able to touch the modern history of the Zaporizhia region.

Thank you to all participants for their activity, and to the guests of the university for their sincerity and openness!
