Associate Professor of the Department of Software of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Tetyana Kolpakova took part in the “International Week” and “UNITA Days: Cultural Diversity in Higher Education” (Transylvania University, Brasov, Romania), which took place from
March 31 to April 4. The events were attended by more than 40 representatives from 21 countries.

Transylvania University of Brasov is the largest higher education institution in the central part of Romania (18 faculties). It has over 20,000 students studying in forestry, engineering, economics, medicine and art.

The main goal of the events was to promote cultural diversity as an important element in the higher education system, which will make universities more attractive for study and prepare students for “global citizenship”.

The participants exchanged experiences and shared best practices in cultural training of students and staff within the framework of mobility under the Erasmus+ program, and also discussed administrative aspects of international cooperation. The program also included interactive workshops on intercultural communication and emotional intelligence, meetings with representatives of the university community, as well as excursions to cultural monuments, including Bran Castle.

The events were organized within the UNITA alliance, which unites 12 universities from 7 countries, whose joint activities are aimed at developing the European educational space and supporting border and mountain regions.

We strengthen international ties, promote the development of academic mobility!
