Representatives of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic took part in the International Summer Forum at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
From August 25 to 29, teachers of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University participated in the International Summer Forum 2025 at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund), Germany.
The event was attended by 140 representatives of 40 universities from 18 different countries of the world. The program of the event combined intercultural learning, research discussion, seminars on cross-border projects and processes in the international department, trainings for teachers, as well as meetings of teams working on the implementation of international educational projects.
At the grand opening ceremony of the forum, Zaporizhia Polytechnic was represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Software Serhiy Leoshchenko. During the research discussion, he gave a presentation on the topic “Intelligent information processing methods and tools for decision-making in the military and civilian industries”.
Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin took part in the final meeting of the participants of the DAAD project InduTwin@scale “Strategic partnership based on the twinning principle”. The project resulted in the participation of three applicants (Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering) in the academic mobility program based at FH Dortmund in the spring semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. Six students of our university took part in the virtual academic mobility program under the InduTwin@scale Language Team Task program in the fall semester of 2024–2025.
As part of the “Market of Opportunities” event, representatives of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Professor of the Department of Software Galyna Tabunshchyk, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin, Associate Professors of the Department of Software Anzhelika Parkhomenko, Tetyana Kolpakova and Serhiy Leoshchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems and Networks Iryna Zelenyova and Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Media Natalya Mironova presented educational programs and areas of scientific activity of Zaporizhia Polytechnic.
The key event was the kick-off meeting of the participants of the new project “Project and Innovation Management for Ukraine” (UA4PIM), funded by DAAD within the framework of the “German-Ukrainian University Network” program 2025–2029. Together with our university, the West Ukrainian National University (Ternopil) and the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture will participate in the project. The project coordinator, Honorary Professor of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Director of the IDiAL FH Dortmund Institute, Carsten Wolff, presented the project goals, financial planning and budget structure, and reviewed the project timeline, key stages, roles and responsibilities. The consortium participants were welcomed by the Rector of FH Dortmund Tamara Appel and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Research and International Relations Stefan Weijers.
The International Summer Forum 2025 provided an opportunity to exchange experience in implementing international projects, communicate with representatives of different countries, universities and faculties, and identify new directions for the international development of Zaporizhia Polytechnic.
