Representatives of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic at an expert meeting on energy efficiency in Munich
From June 14, an expert information meeting “Education in the energy efficiency sector – new approaches to organizing the educational and research process” is taking place in Munich. The study-tour participants are national Ukrainian experts. They visit German organizations engaged in qualification and professional training in energy efficiency.
The information tour promotes further exchange of experiences between the participants, and they also took part in discussions and expert speeches. During the meeting, Ukrainian experts learned to identify success factors and predict challenges during the implementation of energy-efficient methods in organizations.
During the first meeting, employees of the Munich Department of Education and Sports presented the Energy Saving Program in Schools “FiftyFifty” and other climate projects.
The experience of our university in the field of implementing energy-efficient technologies was presented by Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko, who presented the university’s innovative projects and the development program of the Energy and Innovation Hub of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.
The participants met with the heads of organizations working in the field of energy efficiency. The experts shared their approach to training and qualification provision, and provided valuable recommendations for the further development of Ukrainian energy innovation hubs.
The participants of the expert meeting also visited Prinz Eugen, a modern residential area of Munich, which was created on the site of a former military area. The district is an example of sustainable urban planning: energy-efficient housing, inclusive infrastructure and one of the largest wooden housing projects in Germany, which serves as a model for socially balanced urban development.
The study tour is taking place within the framework of the project “Promoting Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine”, which is implemented by GIZ on behalf of the governments of Germany and Switzerland.
We are proud to join the implementation of energy efficiency in Ukraine!
