Workshop on self-discovery and resource search

On February 13, a psychological workshop on self-knowledge and resource search from psychologists of the Center for Helping Survivors was successfully held, co-organized by the Department of Psychology of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.

Trainers of the workshop:
– Viktoriya Verteba — psychologist of the Center for Helping Survivors
– Tetyana Borodulkina — psychologist of the Center for Helping Survivors, associate professor of the Department of Psychology

During the workshop, participants explored their mental state using art methods and metaphorical maps, and learned about exercises for self-soothing and self-help. The meeting took place in a calm and creative atmosphere.

“Thank you very much for this meeting and the opportunity to feel support when you need it! The exercise “I am in the form of a tree” penetrated the depths of my soul. And the technique “Landscape of my life” helped me find a way out of an anxious situation, inspired me to take further action and gave me hope for a better future. The exercise “My sensory supports” reminded me that happiness is near, you just need to look at it. The workshop leaders easily set up for frank conversations and helped me get to know myself better. Thank you for the opportunity to find a resource in this difficult time!”, — one of the participants shared her feedback.

Thank you to the Center for Assistance to the Rescued of Zaporizhzhia for the opportunity to join the psycho-emotional support of adults and children during the war! Thank you everyone for your active participation!

The Center for Assistance to the Rescued in Zaporizhia was created on the initiative of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, with the assistance of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, in partnership with UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine, thanks to the financial support of the governments of Austria, Belgium, Spain, Sweden in cooperation with local authorities and the NGO “Association of Ukrainian Ambassadors”.
