The victory of a graduate of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic at Kaunas Ruduo 2025

This year, a graduate of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Roman Shchypkov, took part in the one-day retro rally Kaunas Ruduo 2025. Under its own power, his team covered over 1,500 km in an old ZAZ from Zaporizhia to Kaunas (Lithuania) to take part in this event.

Despite the difficult road, the team took 1st place in the rally itself. The participants dedicated this victory to Ukraine, its indomitable warriors and the 125th anniversary of the Polytechnic.

This victory was made possible thanks to the partners Company PROGRESS, the Graviton plant, TM Eurol, the Lithuanian transport company Autodamas and, of course, the organizers of the rally.

Mr. Roman shares his impressions: “For us, it was a one-day challenge — a long road, competition, struggle for the result. But this path is only a weak and insufficient reflection of the path that Ukraine has been overcoming for 11 years. Ukrainian warriors do not just defend their land — they prove to the whole world that freedom is not a gift. Freedom is fought for. Freedom is held firmly in their hands. Freedom is never given away. Just as we have overcome our path to the finish line, Ukraine will overcome its path to Victory. We believe that the day will come when the Ukrainian flag will finally and unquestionably fly over all its borders. And then the whole world will see not just a state, but a people who proved their independence through strength of spirit, courage and self-sacrifice.
