Olympic lesson for students of "Osnova" gymnasium

On September 19, athletes from Zaporizhia Polytechnic visited the Zaporizhia Gymnasium “Osnova” to hold a traditional Olympic lesson with students of grades 6–7 under the slogan “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together!” within the framework of the Olympic Week and the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine.

For over 15 years, the Department of Physical Culture of Olympic and Non-Olympic Sports has traditionally participated in Olympic lessons and taught the younger generation that sport is health, drive, energy and victories.

The Olympic lesson consisted of two parts: first, the students took part in a comprehensive fun warm-up, and then talked with the athletes about their path, career, achievements and victories, with pleasure looked at the honorary awards and watched memorable videos of victorious performances.

National University Zaporizhia Polytechnic and the national team of Ukraine in sports aerobics were represented by our athletes – champions of Ukraine, bronze medalists of the World Championship:
– Masters of Sports of Ukraine of international class: Artem Kokarev, Veronika Sidorova, Maryna Kutseva and Alina Holub
– Masters of Sports of Ukraine: Alina Ovsyannikova, Diana Moroz and Polina Likholat

The students also got acquainted with the older generation of athletes – associate professor of the Department of Physical Culture, Olympic and Non-Olympic Sports, Honored Coach of Ukraine Borys Kokarev and a teacher of the same department, Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class, team coach Darya Solyanyk.
