Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University at the PolyTECH Summit

On September 18, representatives of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University took part in the PolyTECH Summit, which was held in Kyiv at the Innovation Park “UNIT.City” with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic was represented by Vice-Rector for Research Vadym Shalomeyev, Head of the Department of Student Research Snezhana Vychuzhanina, Secretary of the Department of Student Research Valeria Sira, Leading Specialist of the Department of Prospective Development, Licensing, Accreditation and Quality of Education Dmytro Perveev, Secretary of the Department of Project Activities Daria Khmara, Student of the BTU-1113 Group Alina Lytvynenko, Student of the KST-815sp Group Kateryna Syvash and Student of the BK-813 Group Yelyzaveta Yerenburg.

PolyTECH Summit became a platform for interaction between experts from different fields: education, the innovation sector and technology companies. New opportunities for the development of student startups and employment of young people in high-tech industries were presented. More than 500 representatives from more than 30 higher education institutions in Ukraine participated.

On the main stage of the summit, with the participation of leading speakers, including Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Trofymenko, the relationship between education and business, global trends in technological education, and opportunities for student development in Ukraine were discussed.

Before the PolyTECH Summit, participants underwent training in the five-week PolyTECH EDU educational program for leading universities in Ukraine. The program included trainings with leading specialists in the technology industry, educational lectures for the development of the most important soft skills in the labor market, practical workshops and networking.
