Interuniversity cultural and educational event "I chose my own destiny..."

On April 1, on the occasion of the anniversary of Lina Kostenko, an outstanding poetess of our time, the philological section of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training of the Faculty of Humanities organized and held an interuniversity cultural and educational event “I Chose My Own Destiny…”.

The event was attended by: 1st-year students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Management, Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, Faculty of Business Technologies and Economics, Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Transport, Faculty of Law, associate professors of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training Tetyana Bilenko and Tetyana Katysh, 1st and 2nd-year students of the Faculty of Philology of Zaporizhia National University and Central Ukrainian State University named after V. Vynnychenko.

The event program consisted of the following parts:
screening of the video project “Give a little bit of yourself to a person. For this the soul is filled with light: favorite poems from the creative treasury of Lina Kostenko”
presentations about facts from Lina Kostenko’s personal life, about her family, about her social position, about collections of poems and lyric-epic works
poetry recitation
interactive game “Do you know Lina Kostenko?”

The participants watched videos with recordings of poems and songs performed by modern Ukrainian actors and admirers of the poetess’s work.

Lina Kostenko’s words touch the depths of the soul, prompt reflection, inspire and give strength in a moment of despair.
