International Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl Disaster
April 26 is a day that changed the course of history. The day when the world learned the price of human error and the greatness of human courage. A day of remembrance and great responsibility.
We honor all those who stopped the invisible enemy — radiation, who chose duty and paid with their health and even their lives. Firefighters, doctors, engineers, scientists, military. They are an example of indomitability, sacrifice and true heroism.
We bow our heads in gratitude to all the liquidators. We remember the dead.
Many years have passed, but Chernobyl is not in the past. In 2022, Russian troops captured the Chernobyl zone, and later the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. Now we are faced with radiation terrorism every day: armed people on the territory of the nuclear facility, mining, power outages, bullying of ZNPP personnel. The world is on the brink again — and this time the threat is deliberately created.
We remind you again and again that atomic energy cannot be held hostage, and radiation cannot become a weapon against humanity!
